SPECIFICATION

Raw material: Rhizomes of Curcuma Doemstica Val [Syn. Curcuma Longa Koenig non L.], (Fam. Zingiberaceae).

Source: Ethiopian (African).

Preparation: By solvent extraction and subsequent removal of the solvent.

Solvent: Acetone

Appearance & Odour: A deep red or orange red, somewhat viscid liquid, with characteristic odour

Colour (as % curcumin): 30%.

Residual solvent: Meets with Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act Regulations.

Package: Suitable Lined Steel Drums.

Storage: Store preferably in tight full container in a cool place protected from light.

GINGER OLEORESIN

Ginger Oleoresin



SPECIFICATION

Raw material: Rhizomes of Zingiber Officinale Roscoe.

Source: Ethiopia (African)

Preparation: By solvent extraction and subsequent removal of the solvent.

Appearance & Odour: A dark brown viscous liquid with characteristic Odour any very pungent flavor of ginger.

Volatile oil content: 26 - 30% (V/W).

Residual solvent: Meets with Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act Regulations.

Solubility: Soluble with sediment in alcohol, slightly soluble in fixed oil.

Package: Suitable lined steel drums

Storage: Store preferably in tight full container in a cool place protected from light.
